EMS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is EMS Safe?
Yes, EMS is generally considered safe when used correctly. However, it’s essential to follow all safety guidelines, including avoiding stimulation over certain areas like the head, or directly on broken skin. It's also recommended to consult a healthcare professional before starting EMS, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions.
How Often Should You Do EMS Training?
The frequency of EMS sessions will depend on your fitness goals and recovery needs. Most people train with EMS 2–3 times per week, allowing for adequate recovery between sessions. Your trainer will help you develop a schedule that fits your needs.
Should I wait until I’m in better shape before I do an EMS session?
You can start EMS training at any stage of your health and fitness journey, why wait?
Can I do EMS Training with a partner or multiple people?
Some people do not like to train alone and you can definitely schedule sessions with a partner and others (up to 6 people)
What do I wear/bring to a session?
As a specialized athletic top and shorts called DryWear is provided to wear under the Training Suit, there is nothing else needed aside from a water bottle and athletic shoes.
There is a filtered water dispenser to keep your bottle filled and maintain your hydration.
Can I buy my own DryWear?
Absolutely, please ask your trainer for more details.
Can I do an EMS session at home or work?
We offer a Mobile EMS Personal Training service, so we can come to you.
Can the EMS Training Suit do all the work while I just lie down?
The EMS Training Suit can provide the stimulus without any movements, but we do find it is extremely more effective when doing exercises.
